Zusammenfassung

Knochenersatzmaterialien (KEM) stellen in der zahnärztlichen und kieferchirurgischen Praxis bei Patienten mit defizitärem Knochenangebot ein probates Therapiemittel dar, um eine nachfolgende implantologische oder prothetische Versorgung zu gewährleisten. Dabei werden grundsätzlich zwei Klassen von KEM unterschieden: natürliche und synthetische KEM. Diese lassen sich wiederum in einzelne Kategorien subsummieren, z. B. die natürlichen autologen und allogenen KEM oder die synthetischen KEM wie Keramiken und Zemente. Das Wissen über die jeweiligen Vor- und Nachteile, grundlegenden Prinzipien sowie Therapielimitierungen sollte für den Therapeuten einen wesentlichen Stellenwert einnehmen, da sonst eine fundierte qualifizierte Therapie unter Gewährleistung von hohen Qualitätsstandards nicht möglich ist. Dieser Beitrag gibt eine Übersicht über die heute verfügbaren KEM und einzelne Empfehlungen für die erfolgreiche Augmentation in der MKG-chirurgischen Praxis.

S3-Leitlinie „Diagnostik und Therapie des Karpaltunnelsyndroms“

Prof. Dr. med. Gregor Antoniadis Das Karpaltunnelsyndrom ist die häufigste Kompressionsneuropathie peripherer Nerven. Obwohl die Anamnese mit dem nächtlichen Einschlafen der Hand (Brachialgia parästhetica nocturna) sehr typisch ist, ist eine klinisch-neurologische Untersuchung und Elektroneurografie in manchen Fällen auch eine Neurosonografie erforderlich. Im Anfangsstadium sind konservative Maßnahmen (Handgelenksschiene, Ergotherapie) empfehlenswert. Bei nicht Ansprechen der konservativen Therapie oder Auftreten von neurologischen Ausfällen ist eine Dekompression des N. medianus am Karpaltunnel indiziert.
