Currently, 69 North American institutions offer postgraduate programs in orthodontics. The results of a questionnaire survey, in which 46 institutions participated, revealed that the subjects of occlusion, temporomandibular joints (TMJs), and temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) are taught in a rather heterogeneous manner. The authors conclude their paper with the statement “Perhaps a standardized curriculum can be developed” [2]. …
