Biomechanische Aspekte der Zahnstellung und Zahnbewegung

Zusammenfassung

Die Bewegung eines Zahns bedingt aus mechanischer Hinsicht eine gerichtete Applikation von Kräften bzw. Drehmomenten. Für die Auslösung von Zahnbewegungen ist die Art bzw. Herkunft des mechanischen Stimulus irrelevant. Bei seinem Durchbruch wird der Zahn in diejenige Position bewegt, in der ein Gleichgewicht der einwirkenden Kräfte besteht. Insbesondere sind hier die Ruhedrücke der Lippen und Wangen relevant. Störfaktoren können orofaziale Dysfunktionen, morphologische Abweichungen oder das Spiel von Blasinstrumenten sein. Therapeutische Zahnbewegungen erfolgen durch kieferorthopädische Apparaturen. Herausnehmbare Apparaturen eignen sich primär zur Kraft- und nur sehr limitiert zur Drehmomentapplikation auf die Zähne, weshalb keine rein körperlichen Bewegungen, sondern nur Zahnkippungen möglich sind. Festsitzende Multibracketapparaturen sind in der Lage, über multiple Kontaktkräfte im Bracketslotbereich beliebige dreidimensionale (3-D-)Kraft-Drehmoment-Systeme auf die einzelnen Zähne zu übertragen, weshalb prinzipiell jegliche Art von Zahnbewegung realisiert werden kann.
