Zusammenfassung

Läsionen des femoropoplitealen Segments bei Patienten mit kritischer Ischämie zeichnen sich durch eine höhere Komplexität im Vergleich zu Patienten mit Claudicatio intermittens aus. Häufiger finden sich chronische Verschlüsse, längere Läsionen und auch stärkere Verkalkungen. Da Patienten mit kritischer Ischämie häufiger höheren Alters sind und mehr Komorbiditäten aufweisen, können auch bei komplexeren femoropoplitealen Läsionen endovaskuläre Strategien eine Alternative zur operativen Behandlung sein. Mit ihnen können durchaus hohe Erfolgsraten und gute klinische Ergebnisse erzielt werden.
