Zusammenfassung

Enterokokken sind grampositive Erreger primär der Darmflora, die als Infektionserreger besonders durch den Erwerb einer Glykopeptid-/Vancomycin-Resistenz krankenhaushygienisch und therapeutisch problematisch werden können. Dieses Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit der Epidemiologie, der Pathogenität und den erforderlichen Präventions- und Kontrollmaßnahmen.
