Zusammenfassung

Bei einer Risikoschwangerschaft besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko für das Leben und die Gesundheit von Mutter oder Kind. Ein Großteil der Risikoschwangerschaften ist Folge schwerer mütterlicher Erkrankungen. Genaue Kenntnisse der wechselseitigen Beeinflussung von Schwangerschaft und Erkrankung sind unabdingbar. Es muss geklärt werden, ob das Risiko, eine Schwangerschaft auszutragen, vertretbar ist. Ebenso sollten mögliche Therapienebenwirkungen auf den Fetus eruiert werden, vielfach sind Umstellungen oder Dosisanpassungen bei medikamentösen Therapien notwendig. Bei Risikoschwangerschaften ist es darüber hinaus erforderlich, den Entbindungsmodus, den Entbindungszeitpunkt und die geeignete Entbindungsklinik festzulegen, um für Mutter und Kind die bestmögliche Betreuung zu gewährleisten. Auch bei zuvor unauffälligen Schwangerschaftsverläufen kann es unter der Geburt zu Pathologien kommen, teils mit dramatischen Folgen.

Eine ältere Frau trinkt regelmäßig Sennesblättertee gegen ihre Verstopfung. Der scheint plötzlich gut zu wirken. Auf Durchfall und Erbrechen folgt allerdings eine Hyponatriämie. Nach deren Korrektur kommt es plötzlich zu progredienten Kognitions- und Verhaltensstörungen.
