Safety and efficacy of revascularization procedures for acute ischemic stroke have been well documented [

2]. In this regard, most of the data referring to patients aged 80 years and over are encouraging. Several studies suggest that intravenous (iv) thrombolysis is an effective treatment [

5], and it does not increase the risk of mortality [
