Abstract
We describe a case of a 52-year-old lady with a large, recurring psedomyxoma peritonei. Five years ago, the patient underwent a left oophorectomy for a possible ovarian cyst. PMP was suggested by the histology. She received no chemotherapy after her surgery. She progressively developed abdominal distension over the years. It was discovered to be recurrent PMP using computerised tomography (CT). The patient underwent aggressive cytoreductive surgery and received chemotherapy thereafter. Despite the fact that her immediate postoperative time was uncomplicated, due to her advanced disease, she eventually passed away. This may be the “jelly belly” that is the largest, as the image shows.
